AFS is proud of its people and, while the latest technology is important to a collection agency’s effectiveness, a collection agency ultimately cannot perform any better than the people they employ.

Allan Johnson, Sales Manager – Mr. Johnson brings 34 years of healthcare sales experience with him. His responsibilities include creating partnerships with physician groups and billing companies so that the considerable technology AFS brings to the collection industry can generate more cash for our physician partners.

Elizabeth “Liz” Miller, VP of Business Operations – Liz has been with AFS since its inception and is responsible for maintaining existing client relations, daily operations, and system administration. Liz worked for another collection agency in various capacities and managed their Client Services Department before coming to AFS. Liz has years of collection experience and is a long standing member of the American Collector’s Association International.

Joe Ortiz, Collections Manager – Mr. Ortiz has 13 years experience in the collection industry. He is responsible for all daily operations in the Collections Department and the overall collection work flow and strategy. Mr. Ortiz’s experience includes medical debt collections for both hospitals and physicians. Mr. Ortiz manages multilingual, ACA certified phone collectors with extensive training in FDCPA, HIPAA and relevant collection compliance laws and guidelines.
